Civil Engineer (EIT) Reporting to the Director of Engineering
|
This highly visible & challenging civil engineering position serves as an internal resource for all municipal engineering activities. Duties include but are not limited -to: assisting with the design and related construction inspection of public works utility and road projects; assisting with permits; assisting in the review and inspection of subdivision and site plan development projects; participating in planning, design, specification writing, estimating, and public outreach for capital project proposals involving water/sewer facilities, storm drainage, bridges, roads and buildings. Duties will also include contract administration, consultant oversight, updating asset management databases and interacting with the general public and Town representatives and officials.
Qualified candidate must have an EIT Certificate, B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field and at least 3 to 5 years in a civil engineering/construction environment. Computer literacy is required; AutoCAD and/or ArcGis is desirable. Must possess valid driver’s license and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Salary range: low $50,000 area; excellent benefits. Position will be available on or about 12/15/2008.
